Emotional Well Being for Youth

What do we mean by Emotional Well Being?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there is no single    definition of mental health. Mental health is the psychological and emotional well-being of a person. It affects how they feel, think, and behave.

Mental health refers to the state of our minds. Humans are often more concerned about maintaining bodily health. People have a habit of ignoring their mental state. His higher thinking is the source of his human supremacy over other animals. Because of his highly evolved brain, man has been able to regulate life. As a result, it is critical for a man to keep both his body and intellect in good shape. Physical and mental wellness are both critical for improved performance and results.

Is Emotional Well Being really important?

A person who is emotionally fit and stable feels energetic and fully alive all of the time and can easily manage emotionally hard situations. Physical fitness is required to be emotionally powerful. Although mental health is a personal issue, what affects one person may or may not influence another; yet, mental health difficulties are caused by a number of fundamental factors.

Many emotional elements, such as despair, anger, negative thinking, impatience, and fear, have a big impact on our fitness level. Regular exercise contributes to a good physical fitness standard since a physically fit person is always in a good mood and can easily cope with situations of hardship and depression.

A state of psychological well-being is implied by mental fitness. It refers to having a good perception about one's own feelings, thoughts, and actions, which enhances one's ability to enjoy his/her life. It helps to develop one's inner capacity for self-determination. It's a proactive, upbeat attitude.

What is Mental Illness –

We can get sick mentally in the same way we get sick physically. The instability of one's health, which includes fluctuations in emotion, thought, and behaviour, is referred to as mental illness. Stress or a reaction to a specific occurrence might lead to mental disease. Genetic factors, physiological imbalances, child abuse or trauma, social deprivation, poor physical health, and other variables could all play a role. Mental disease can be cured. One can seek assistance from experts in this field or overcome the condition by positive thinking and a change in lifestyle.

Morning walks, yoga, and meditation have all been shown to be effective in the treatment of mental illness. Apart from that, a healthy diet and adequate sleep are essential. On average, a person requires 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night. When someone is exhausted yet can't sleep, it's a sign that their mental health is suffering.

Closure –

The mind is one of the body's most powerful organs, controlling the functions of all other organs. When our minds are in a state of flux, it affects how our bodies function as a whole. Physical and emotional fitness are essential for success in all parts of life. People should be aware of the implications of mental disease and place a high priority on keeping their minds healthy, just as they do their physical bodies. Mental and physical well-being are inextricably linked. Only when both are in perfect harmony can we call someone totally healthy and well. As a result, it is critical for everyone to strive for a balance between mental and physical well-being and to seek help when either falters.

Especially, it is very necessary for the youth of our country to be emotionally stable because they are the future of our nation and major aspects depend on them. Their 100% potential can't be achieved being emotionally unstable and unhappy.
